FROM THE ART OF OPERA TO THE ART OF LIVING.
While the majority of the buildings have been used by the workshop, other areas have at various times also been used as a rehearsal stage; opera studios; and ballet and orchestra rehearsal rooms.
The almost 6,000 m² area of the building complex awoke 2014 to an elegant and urban living space. Spectacular townhouses, industrial lofts and penthouses were created between spacious green areas and quiet courtyard situations.
The approx. 230 m² loft is located on the 2nd floor of the main building. arge windows guarantee a lot of light in the spacious loft. The two south-facing balconies face the very quiet courtyard 1.
Even Berlin Mitte has a center! And right there, just a stone’s throw from the Volkspark am Weinberg park, Berlin architectural office Pott Architects is planning the conversion plus transformation of a Berlin urban landmark. Once home to the prop warehouse and rehearsal stage of the Komische Oper Berlin (Berlin Comic Opera), this historic landmark industrial building complex with just approx. 6.000 m² of floor space in the center of Berlin is being resurrected for a new use. Once a large-scale laundry; button factory and a lithographic print shop, the Opernlofts development, an interesting mix of apartments and generous green outdoor areas, will turn the complex into a calm oasis in the heart of the city.
The center of Berlin combines the inspirational advantages of Mitte with the calm of a garden city. The ‘Five Minutes’ concept behind the loft complex in the old button factory is a winner: designer stores, galleries, cafés, bars, off-scene clubs on kastanienallee, and Weinbergspark park. Next to this Schönhauser Allee with an innovative eateries concept and Kollwitzplatz square with an impressive weekly farmers’ market and the Kulturbrauerei center with a movie theater and established clubs in the north-east. To the south, Rosenthaler Platz square; Alexanderplatz square and Hackesche Markt; as well as Museum Island. Five minutes to stores and shopping; to lunch or the bar; the gym or a concert; the theater or a club. And thanks to the set-back position and private parking lot, you can also be just as quickly at the calm center of your ownlife.
